Diary of an unidentified hobo living in Los Angeles, CA during the Great Depression. The author, who hailed from Akron, OH, traveled West via freight train to Chicago, Portland, San Francisco and finally to Los Angeles, where it appears the diary was written. The diary discusses the authors physical circumstances as he lived in depression era "Hoover Hotels" and on park benches. The diary also reveals his struggle to find food and his negative feelings towards religious missions to help the poor.
