Biography

Richard G. Jaeger graduated from Dartmouth in 1959 and earned a Master's degree at Teacher's College, Columbia University. He returned to Dartmouth in 1964 as assistant director of admissions, having taught English and coordinated the English curriculum at Hanover High School. He was promoted to associate director of admissions in 1973 and director of admissions in 1982. In 1989, he was named director of athletics by President James Freedman. He remained in that position until his retirement in 2002.
