Introduction to the Collection

The oral history interview of Priscilla Frechette Maynard is comprised of audiocassette recordings and an indexed transcript of the recordings. The interview was conducted by Jane L. Carroll on October 9, 1997. The entire interview runs for approximately seventy-five minutes and covers her service as a trustee of the College.

Biography

Priscilla Frechette Maynard graduated from Smith College and earned an M.B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts. She is the widow of Henry H. Frechette '41 and the mother of three Dartmouth alumni. She was chosen as the first female member of the Board of Trustees and served from 1979 to 1989.
