Biography

David Sices was born on June 10, 1933 in suburban New York. He attended Dartmouth as a member of the Class of '54 and graduated summa cum laude. He attended Yale University for his PhD and returned to Dartmouth in 1957 as a member of the romance languages department and chaired the department from 1970-77. He retired in 1997.

Scope and Contents of Collection

The oral history interview with David Sices is comprised of audiocassette recordings and an indexed transcript of the recordings. The interview was conducted by Daniel Daily on April 15, 2002. The entire interview runs for approximately 90 minutes and covers his undergraduate years and his teaching career at Dartmouth.
