The materials represented in this guide may be accessed through the Rauner Special Collections Library at Dartmouth College. The Rauner Library is located in Webster Hall. The materials must be used on-site and may not leave Rauner Library.

The Papers of Maurice (Maury) Rapf contain personal and professional correspondence, newspaper clippings, scripts, screenplays, information regarding Dartmouth's film studies program, sheet music, reels of film, student work, magazine articles, and playbills. Also included are travel documents and information about personal finances. The papers document Rapf's experience in the film industry, his efforts to create a film department at Dartmouth, his time as a professor in the Drama and Film Departments at Dartmouth, and his later life in Hanover.
Of special note, includes original copies of Rapf's scripts.

Contains correspondence, notes, outlines, screenplays, film treatments, class lecture notes, student papers, and articles. Of note is work on a screenplay for the 1954 film, Father Brown, authored by Rapf. The student papers were written by students in Rapf's class during his tenure as a Dartmouth College Film Professor. The articles included in the box are related largely to Hollywood and the film industry.
Contains copies of original and adapted film treatments and screenplays, class and lecture notes, and syllabi. The screenplays were written by students for Rapf's film class.
Contains newspaper and magazine clippings, transcripts of students' grades, class notes, assignments, and other materials. The clippings relate to Hollywood and the film industry as well as to Dartmouth campus issues.
Contains copies of screenplays, pamphlets, correspondence, a book, and lecture notes. Of note are several copies of a screenplay entitled The Prodigals, authored by Rapf.

The class and lecture notes relate largely to technical aspects of film, such as the editing process. Of note are several pamphlets celebrating the opening of the Lowe Theater.
