Abstract:

New Hampshire World Fellowship Center, founded in 1941. The collection contains brochures, newsletters, programs, correspondence, writings, photographs, clippings, legal and financial records, meeting minutes and agendas. The records chronicle the history of the Fellowship under the leadership of founders Charles and Eugenia Weller and directors Willard and Ola Uphaus and Christoph and Kathryn Schmauch.

The materials represented in this guide may be accessed through the Rauner Special Collections Library at Dartmouth College. Rauner Library is located in Webster Hall. The materials must be used on-site and may not leave Rauner Library.

Introduction to the Collection

The records of the New Hampshire World Fellowship of Faiths Center contain correspondence, brochures, newsletters, programs, flyers, pamphlets, writings, clippings, financial records and legal papers as well as meeting minutes (some in scrapbooks), agendas, and photographs related to the founding, administration and operation of the New Hampshire World Fellowship Center. The records reflect the work of the center under the directorships of Charles and Eugenia Weller, Willard and Ola Uphaus and Christoph and Kathryn Schmauch.

Introduction

New Hampshire World Fellowship Center, a summer retreat focused on multicultural and multi-faith dialog, was founded in Conway, New Hampshire in 1941 by Charles and Eugenia Weller. The Center continued the inter-religious and inter-cultural work of the World Fellowship of Faiths organization founded in 1929.
