Becker Collection of American Political Campaign Materials chronicles New Hampshire, Vermont and national presidential primaries and general elections in the 1960s and 1970s. It includes correspondence, pamphlets, flyers, newsletters, clippings, newspapers, posters, bumper stickers, buttons and assorted campaign ephemera. The collection also includes a selection of printed matter such as newspapers, cartoons, and Currier and Ives broadsides from political campaigns in the 19th century. The collection was donated to the Dartmouth College Museum by Ralph E. Becker for an exhibit at the Hanover Inn which was curated by his son William W. Becker, class of 1964. In the early 1970s the collection gained new accessions reflecting recent election cycles by James Day, class of 1971.
