Introduction to the Collection

The papers of Don Cohon contain correspondence, photographs, diaries, reports and audio related to his service as a teacher in Vietnam for the IVS (International Volunteer Services) and his work with refugees while he was a mental health professional in California. Correspondents include Hugh Swift and several of his former students. Of note are the letters to his parents and his diaries detailing his experiences, interactions and observations as a civilian working in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
