Series 1, George Howard Richardson Field Notebooks and Papers, 1816-1977

Contains deeds, land descriptions, correspondence, maps, aerial land photographs personal income tax returns, field notebooks and other material documenting Richardson's work as a surveyor in New Hampshire and Vermont. Papers related to his son Roger H. Richardson's naval career are also included.

Contains surveyor plat maps of towns and properties in New Hampshire and Vermont including Littleton, Lisbon, Franconia, Carroll, Dalton, Sugar Hill and Bethlehem. The majority of the surveys were conducted by George H. Richardson, his father William Richardson, Ray T. Gile and Chester Abbot.
