Contains photographs of the "Oaks", manuscripts and typescripts for Gilbert's book "The Make Believe World of Maxfield Parrish and Sue Lewin", manuscripts and typescripts for "Masterworks", drafts of "A Treasury of Art and Children's Literature" along with copies of pictures to be used in the final work, "Poster Book" draft.

Box: 2, Dates: 1988, 1993-1996

Contains documents detailing the lawsuit brought by Alma Gilbert against Pomegranate Publications and the executors of the rights of Maxfield Parrish in 1995 and 1996. Within this, there are papers recalling the controversial sales of Parrish fakes by Gilbert from 1988. Of note is the only known nude photograph of Susan Lewin by Parrish which had been hidden in his house, "The Oaks", and found by a workman in 1978.

Legal papers documenting the proceedings of Alma Gilbert's 1988 trial for the sale of fake copies of Maxfield Parrish paintings. Includes newspaper articles 1988-1995, letters relating to Maxfield Parrish commemorative stamp and a Norman Rockwell stamp, papers and letters relating to the 1996 calendar, copies of Maxfield Parrish sketches, articles on Maxfield Parrish, Alma Gilbert's bankruptcy letters.
