Introduction to the Collection

The John Kemeny Papers consist of personal and professional correspondence; reprints of journal articles written by Kemeny; speeches given while president of Dartmouth; magazines, newspaper clippings, and Dartmouth publications; a rough draft of Kemeny's autobiography; daily schedules while president of Dartmouth; numerous publications and reports relating to the nuclear accident at Three Mile Island. Of note is a circa 1948 proof in Albert Einstein's hand corrected by Kemeny.
