The Kite, with Emil Diebitsch and a scientific party on board, picked up Peary and his men at Bowdoin Bay and the two smaller meteorites at Cape York. Then they crossed Smith Sound and returned to the U.S., following the coastline of Baffin Island and stopping at Dexterity Harbour to study the Eskimos there. The prints include, besides "Kite" and Eagle: Peary and a group of Eskimo women and children; Eskimos (4); crew members on board "Kite" (8); and two unidentified young men, possibly Hugh Lee, Emil Diebitsch, or members of the scientific party (3). Numbers on the backs of these prints correspond to those on the envelopes containing the negatives in Folder 112 of this box.
