The processing of this grant was supported by a Title II-C Grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

INTRODUCTION

This collection of approximately 200 photographs was used by Sally Carrighar in two of her books, Moonlight at Midday, 1958, and Wild Voice of the North, 1959. The photographs, primarily taken in the 1950's, are of towns, prople, animals, and scenery.

The photographs, a gift of Sally Carrighar, are contained in one Hollinger box and are a part of the Vilhjalmur Stefansson Collection on the Polar Regions.
