The Papers of Donald Guy (DC Class of 1938) contain materials relating to Guy's career as an Associated Press writer and photographic editor, including wire articles and photos, notes, article drafts, research materials, documentation of expenses, and personal correspondence. A world traveler, Guy traveled to the Arctic with the Duke of Edinburgh, the South Pole with Paul Siple (1956), and the antarctic with Sir Edmund Hillary during the First International Geophysical Year (1957). He was the first newsman to have a story relayed by satellite.
