Introduction to the Collection

The Edward Rasmussen papers contain a copy of a book review submitted to the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine. Rasmussen reviews Takanobu Mitsui's (DC 1943) "Atarimae no Koto". Additionally, contains Rasmussen's English translations of the Japanese section of "Atarimae no Koto" dealing with Mitsui's time at Dartmouth.


Edward Rasmussen (b.1919), Dartmouth College class of 1942. Served in the Air Force and Military Intelligence during WWII and entered the insurance business after, retiring as the head of the Japanese section for Fred S. James & Co. in New York City.
