Arason Steingrímur (1879-1951), Icelandic teacher. The collection contains a manuscript "Iceland and the sagas," revised by Helen Augur, an English rendition of the Icelandic story "Audun," in addition to two articles on Iceland.

Introduction to the Collection

The collection contains Arason Steingrímur's manuscript of his book "Iceland and the Sagas," revised by Helen Augur. The manuscripts for his story "Audun" and for two articles on Iceland are also included.


Arason Steingrímur was born on August 26, 1879. He was an Icelandic teacher who had studied at Columbia University. He died in 1951.
